This past June 14 and 15, the fast and furious action was at Willow Creek Polo Club off County Road 13 in Elizabeth, as five teams competed for the third annual Rocky Mountain Circuit Sportsmanship Cup, and in the process helped to raise over $2,775 for Advocates for Children, the CASA program that serves abused and neglected children in Elbert County. The team taking home the winner’s trophy was Team Rise. Also competing in the charity event were: Willow Creek Polo of Elizabeth, Sprung Polo of Evergreen, Tanakhanda of Colorado Springs, and Starman Services of Kiowa. Lunch was catered by That Personal Touch. Event sponsors were Lowry and Josie Vidic, owners of Willow Creek Polo, who generously donated all the profits to Advocates for Children.
“Child and abuse can be found in every community,” says event sponsor, Lowry Vidic. “That’s why we felt it was important to raise both awareness of CASA and funds to help support their local program.”
